Obtain Service

Fergus Electric Cooperative will be happy to help you with your service, whether it involves new construction, connecting power to an established property, or simply changing the name on an existing service.

New Owner or Renter
To receive electric service, you will need to complete an application for membership. A security deposit may be required. Please contact Office Services at 406-538-3465 for additional information. Please have the meter number for the location that you are moving into.

Moving
If you are moving off Fergus Electric's system, please contact the office at 406-538-3465 to give a final meter reading and a forwarding address. It is also important to keep the cooperative apprised of subsequent moves for capital credit purposes.

Landlords
In order to keep records current, please inform the cooperative when tenants move in and out of a rental property.

New Connection
Contact the Staking Engineers at 406-538-3465 for new service procedures. An engineer will help with an application, line design, construction costs and the state electrical inspection.

Other Services
Along with supplying power to members, Fergus Electric Cooperative:

• Sells electrical materials and supplies
• Advises members on upgrading service lines, underground/overhead
• Helps with line extensions

Office Services can help members understand billing and payment guidelines, fee structure and collection procedures.
